My contribute, Mississippi Catfish, is the story of a young, orphaned girl, new to the South, and her budding friendship with a young boy as they navigate the racial waters of 1930s Mississippi.

The story is inspired my mother's childhood in rural Mississippi during the Depression of the 1930s.
